Surprise! Hello, lovely people! I’ve decided to tell you a little more about my favorite place to buy cosmetics. As you have seen in my previous posts, there are many different places to purchase your makeup. Some of the places that I have listed include Target, Ulta, Sephora, Wal-Mart, and many online options. I want to be clear that there is no shame in buying your products from non-specialty stores. If you can find a cheaper alternative and price is your #1 priority, then that is totally acceptable. If I’m out of makeup and I’m already at Target, I will often buy the brands that they supply!

I do have a favorite place of purchase, called Sephora. I enjoy shopping here for many reasons, the first being their professionalism. Sephora employs registered cosmetologists that are available in the store to help answer questions and match you with the best products. They will even take the products and test them on your skin to make sure that it matches your needs. I had an excellent experience when choosing the right foundation. After assessing my skin tone, they washed, moisturized, and tested the foundation on my face. The cosmetologist showed me different application techniques, but she never forced me in to buying anything. Sephora carries the “high end” cosmetic brands, which usually come with a price tag, but they always seem well worth it to me. The store is organized by brand, so you can find a whole collection of products made, for example, by Urban Decay in one place. Sephora also has a rewards program, and many of the products are offered in trial sizes so you are able to test them before fully committing.
